Crawford College Connection links Crawford County students with higher education. The organization serves Bucyrus City Schools, Col. Crawford Local Schools, and Wynford Local Schools, as well as provides programs and resources for the other schools in Crawford County.
Crawford College connection sponsors "reunions" to bring back college freshmen to talk to high school seniors to share their experiences. CCC also sponsors an early awareness "Adopt a College Student" program in which fourth graders and college freshmen correspond. This program culminates with the fourth grade classes going on field trips to campuses. In addition, CCC takes juniors to Higher Education Day at Heidelberg College.
Crawford College Connection also sponsors "Focus on the FAFSA," a hands-on workshop to assist Crawford County families. This workshop is especially helpful for families sending a student to college for the first time.
CCC does one-on-one advising on the college selection process and on scholarships and financial aid. CCC also advises non-traditional students, assists in setting up college visits, and takes students on college visits.
CCC provides informational programs, special speakers, and an ACT review class.
Since its inception, CCC has awarded over $50,000 in local grants and has established an endowment to assist future students.
