Cleveland Scholarship Programs, Inc. (CSP) provides educational opportunity and supports workforce development for Northeast Ohio through a broad range of financial aid and advisory programs. CSP’s philosophy is to encourage all individuals to meet their highest potential through education, thereby enhancing the quality of their lives and strengthening the regional economy.

CSP invests in the community through our unique “playground to placement” approach that reaches out to students as early as elementary school and follows them through college. CSP provides educational opportunity support services to both traditional and adult students, including financial aid, college and career advisory services, “last dollar” grants and college retention programs for individuals who choose to pursue postsecondary educational opportunities. CSP provides advisory services to more than 23,500 individuals and awards more than $2.8 million in scholarships each year

CSP is one of, if not the first, college access programs in the country and is a charter member of the National College Access Network (NCAN), an organization that promotes college access across the country. It has been replicated in many cities across the nation, including Baltimore, Md, Columbus, Oh, Miami, Fl and Washington, D.C.

Further, Charity Navigator, the largest national nonprofit evaluation service, gave CSP a four-out-of-four rating as a “consistently excellent charity” in the United States for the sixth consecutive year. Only one percent of the more than 5,000 charities rated have received six or more consecutive 4-star evaluations. This rating assures CSP donors they are supporting a fiscally responsible organization that surpasses industry standards and outperforms its peers in the delivery of its programming to those in need.
