OCAN of Hancock County is in it's first year of providing one-on-one advising to encourage and help young people pursue education beyond high school.  Serving the high school students of Hancock County who have not pursued, usually because of social or economic circumstances, higher education.  As a society we all benefit from the work that OCAN (Ohio College Access Network) provides for the successful pursuit of continued  education after graduation from high school.  Higher earners give communities a larger tax base, and well-educated young people will be better able to fill the employment needs of area companies that operate in a knowledge-based economy.
