Our program is used to provide college access information and last dollar scholarships to exiting seniors at Ironton High School.  The program is new to the school and has been running since the 2000-2001 school year.

Since our creation, we have awarded sixteen $1,000 scholarships to seniors through the Last Dollar Grant Scholarship program.  It Might As Well Be You has worked cooperatively with the Ironton City Schools Foundation to provide the greatest support possible to the students of Ironton High School.

The goals for the program are:

• To meet with every senior at least four times before graduation
• To assist students in completing college and/or other postsecondary applications
• To assist students in successfully completing financial aid applications
• To assist students in locating and applying for scholarships
• To instruct and inform students on college options through one-on-one counseling
