Announces Staffing Changes

CINCINNATI- The Ohio College Access Network is pleased to announce that Sherri Lung has joined the OCAN team as the new Executive Assistant/Office Manager located in the Cincinnati OCAN office.

Sherri has more than five years of comprehensive experience in administrative services.  Prior to joining OCAN, Sherri spent four years at Western-Southern Financial Group in Cincinnati, where she served as Administrative Coordinator for Training, Technical Services and Operations Analysis.  Sherri has extensive experience in meeting and events coordination, database management, website development, technical writing and editing.

Sherri is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in English Writing with a minor in Graphic Arts from Northern Kentucky University, where she has been recognized as part of the Dean’s List.

“Sherri will be an asset to the OCAN team.  Her skill set, especially her communication and technology skills will serve the Network well,” said Jennifer Blatz, Executive Director.

Sherri replaces Tracy Eads who recently accepted a position with KnowledgeWorks Foundation.

OCAN was founded in 1999, by KnowledgeWorks Foundation, in collaboration with the Ohio Board of Regents and Ohio Department of Education. With these partners and the Ohio Business Roundtable, OCAN works to establish college access programs across Ohio. OCAN is the first statewide coordinating body for college access programs in the country. The organization’s goal is to help more Ohio students pursue postsecondary education through the work of local college access programs, which provide financial aid counseling, last dollar grants, college visits, career guidance, and test preparation courses. Currently, 36 college access programs serve nearly 225 of Ohio’s 612 school districts.
