Organization Description

The Preble Promise provides the missing services that rural counties desperately need. We serve any resident of Preble County, Ohio, who has post-secondary aspirations, from middle and high school students to adults who wish to further their careers. Either directly or through our community network, the Preble Promise prepares our clients through information campaigns, recruitment efforts, and academic and financial aid. The Preble Promise offers support through the following programs:

• A post-secondary information campaign which gives a road map to parents, students, and adult learners.
• Education fairs, recruiting visits, and campus tours will bridge the gap between higher education institutions and Preble County.
• Application and financial aid assistance in the form of workshops and one-on-one advising.
• College entrance exam and academic tutoring for students sixth grade and over.
• Non-traditional student advising for adult learners, home school and private school practitioners, and post-secondary graduates wishing to go to the next level.
• Coalition building that brings students, parents, employers, nonprofits, and government offices to the same table.
