The Chancellor of the Ohio Board of Regents has asked the Ohio College Access Network (OCAN) to implement and provide fiscal oversight for an $8.5 million statewide effort to help expand the number of individuals preparing to enter postsecondary education during the next two years. Over the long term, Ohio Can! Go to College, will contribute to a number of statewide efforts that support the goal of enrolling 230,000 additional students in Ohio colleges by 2017. The goal of Ohio Can! Go to College is to catalyze resources – dollar and human – that will not only significantly increase the number of postsecondary scholarship dollars available across Ohio, but also increase the number of internships and coops available. OCAN leadership will guide activities and strategies to ensure the success of the initiative at both the program and fundraising levels. Each grant recipient will be required to demonstrate its capacity to leverage and attract significant dollar support beyond its Ohio Can! award. To view the complete Ohio Can!
